Hi Amy. Regarding Arnold’s Book Store–I think the owner’s name was Jenny Arnold. The store was on Union Street a couple of doors South from Eighth on the East side. I think it is either a brewery of sorts or a tattoo parlor now. I spent many hours roaming the basement looking for hard covers of Daphne DuMaurier’s books. Found them too!!!

Cathy is correct. Jenny Arnold and her husband Clayton owned this Book Store. Jenny loved books and history. They also owned an office supply store on Front St years before this. Jenny and Clayton are my Great Aunt and Uncle.
